SV Power Pvt. Ltd., Phase II

SV Power Pvt. Ltd. project (Phase II) is a coal and coal reject based power project with a capacity of 2*150 MW to be expanded at the project site located at Renki village, Korba District, Chhattisgarh State. The land acquisition has been completed and has applied for the MoEF Approval and Fuel Linkage from South Eastern Coalfields Ltd . The State of Chhattisgarh shall be the beneficiary of 30% of the power generated and 70% to be sold to Merchant Basis.

The Phase II of the power project with a capacity of 300 MW is planned to be commissioned in the XIIth Five Year Plan.


KVK Energy & Infrastructure Pvt. Ltd., Madhya Pradesh

MOU signed with Government of Madhya Pradesh in October, 2008 for developing a 1,050MW coal-based power project. Submitted proposal to increase capacity to 1320MW.

An SPV 'Banas Thermal Power Pvt Ltd' has been floated to develop this project.

  • MoU provides for supply of 5% of net power at variable cost and 30% of power at regulated tariff (as determined by the Appropriate Commission)
  • Project Location - Anuppur village, Chhulkar-Raksha district, Madhya Pradesh
  • Land Acquisition - 1,000 acres identified and application made for allotment of land
  • Water Resources Department, Madhya Pradesh has allocated 32 million cubic meter p.a. of water during the District Water Utility Committee Meeting in August 2009
  • Application for coal linkage for 1,050 MW has been made to MoC; Govt. of Madhya Pradesh (Department of Energy) recommended for fuel linkage
  • Power to be evacuated through PGCIL's 400 kV line
  • Consultant appointed for preparing draft EIA report and obtaining TOR from MoEF

KVK Power & infrastructure Pvt. Ltd., Chattisgarh

MoU signed with Government of Chhattisgarh in February, 2008 for developing a 600 MW coal-based power project

  • MoU proposed to be enhanced to 1,200 MW and project to be developed in 2 phases of 600 MW each
  • MoU provides for supply of 5% of net power at variable cost and 30% of power at regulated tariff (as determined by the Appropriate Commission)
  • Project Location - Bhaiso village, Janjgir-Champa, Chhattisgarh
  • Land Acquisition - 1,200 acres identified and application made for allotment of land
  • Water Resources Department, Chhattisgarh has allocated 21 million cubic meter p.a. of water from Shivnath river
  • Application for coal linkage for 600 MW has been made to MoC; Govt. of Chhattisgarh (Department of Energy) recommended for fuel linkage
  • Power to be evacuated through PGCIL's 400 kV line. Necessary application has been made to PGCIL and fee towards cost of design study has been remitted
  • Consultant appointed for preparing draft EIA report and obtaining TOR from MoEF
  • Applied to Airports Authority of India for NOC for Chimney height clearance

KVK Nilachal Power Pvt. Ltd., Jharkhand

MoU signed with Government of Jharkhand in January, 2007 for developing a 1,000 MW coal-based power project

  • MoU provides for supply of 12% of net power at variable cost and a first right over 25% of the power at a regulated tariff
  • Contribution of 6 paise for the energy exported out of the state towards Environment Management Fund
  • Application for allocation of land and water has been made to Government of Jharkhand
  • Coal linkage application has been made to Ministry of Coal
